Field Service Technician


The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing quality service to customers, reporting to the Director of Service. The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of products sold and/or supported by Conveying Solutions, Inc.


  • Install, maintain and repair KardexRemstar storage and retrieval systems and related products.
  • Instruct customers in operation and maintenance of storage and retrieval systems.
  • Report activity regularly on standard forms (i.e. work orders, weekly time sheets and expense reports).
  • Provide assistance to customers in ordering spare parts or advice of service requests such as emergency and contractual services.
  • Keep informed regarding all operating characteristics, design factors and technical performance of storage and retrieval products.
  • Maintain a high degree of professional knowledge and safety consciousness.
  • Maintains and permanently up-dates technical documentation.
  • Attend training courses/seminars recommended by manager.
  • Additionally, there will be other duties and responsibilities as required by management.

Job Requirements:

  • Applicant must have a thorough understanding of electronics principles, with a minimum of 3 years field experience.
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must be able to lift minimum of 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to work aloft
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Computer Skills

  • Full Time


  • 40% GA and AL only
